I picked up this cross whilst visiting Walsingham. Last week our group was thinking very much around the need for a worshipping, praying community of people at the centre of our area of mission. This cross from El-Salvador shows the Risen Christ at the heart of village life and embodies all that we were thinking in one simple picture.

Nice cross! It says alot with a very simple illustration. I really enjoy your blog. Could you perhaps in a future post explain the Franciscans for your less informed readers? I always thought they were a Catholic movement. Does the Franciscan philosophy differ markedly between the Catholics and Anglicans?
